General Business Activities:
German Solar Service has been founded as Ebright Solar, a private company, by our partner Wolfgang Hinz in June 2003. The director has been actively involved in design and manufacturing of our equipment during 6 ½ years employment in the Far East.All operations, except manufacture, we have gradually moved to South Africa since 2011, now operating from a Live Solar site in Ferndale, Randbug.
We do however still maintain close relations with our R&D facilities and factory in the Far East.Our customer base is growing steadily over the past years. We operate in the private sector as well as businesses, providing high end equipment for power backup and solar power generation as well as solar/wind hybrid systems.
We pride ourselves of our backup service which we believe is of utmost importance to our clients. This includes holding of spare parts for our equipment as well as service availability on weekends if required by our clients.
We do maintain an obligatory WEB presence but our marketing is mainly based on referrals from our existing clientele.
Our systems are installed in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape and Western Cape but operate at present mainly in the Gauteng area. We also support several Agents which service remote areas. For our Agents we provide technical expertise, equipment and design assistance as well as technical training.
Systems are also being exported to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique. These systems are marketed and maintained by local agents trained and supported by German Solar Service
For clients with their own site electricians we provide assistance where required in order to implement our equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation.
Over all, we are a full service company which is capable of completing projects from beginning to commissioning, including customer training where required.
